2. Overview
This is a static website. It does not set cookies, does not use tracking or analytics tools and does not embed any third-party content or services. Fonts are served from my own server. There is no contact form.
3. Hosting and server log files
The website is served from my own, self-operated servers in a data center in Germany. Each request processes technically necessary data in server log files: IP address, date and time, requested page, amount of data transferred, HTTP status code, referrer URL as well as browser type and operating system.
The purpose is to deliver the website and to ensure security and stability, for example detecting and defending against attacks. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; the legitimate interest lies in secure and trouble-free operation.
Log files are deleted after 30 days. Data is only kept longer where it is required to investigate a specific security incident – until that investigation is concluded.
4. TLS encryption
The connection to this website is encrypted with TLS throughout.
5. Contact by email or phone
If you contact me by email or phone, I process the data you provide (e.g. name, email address, phone number and the content of your enquiry) in order to handle your enquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where the enquiry relates to a contract or pre-contractual measures, and otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in answering enquiries).
Emails are received and stored on my own, self-operated mail server in a data center in Germany and are automatically checked for spam.
The data is deleted as soon as it is no longer required for handling the enquiry and no statutory retention obligations (in particular under tax law) apply.
6. Recipients and third countries
Your data is not passed on to third parties and is not transferred to countries outside the EU/EEA unless I am legally obliged to do so.
7. Your rights
You have the right to
- access to the data stored about you (Art. 15 GDPR),
- rectification of inaccurate data (Art. 16 GDPR),
- erasure (Art. 17 GDPR),
- restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR),
- data portability (Art. 20 GDPR).
Right to object: Where processing is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, you may object to it at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation (Art. 21 GDPR).
To exercise your rights, an email to contact@lm-consult.com is sufficient. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR), for example the Berlin Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information.
